KLC COMMERCIAL AND ESG WINGS BV COLLABORATE TO DEVELOP VIETNAM’S FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAIN

On March 21, 2024, KLC Commercial, a member of KLC Group operating in the Retail and Import-Export sectors, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation with ESG Wings BV, an ESG consulting firm from the Netherlands.

The signing ceremony was part of the Vietnam-Netherlands Business Forum held in Ho Chi Minh City, aimed at promoting green growth and sustainable development. This event was one of the activities of the Dutch economic and trade cooperation delegation in Vietnam.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Vu Duc Tuan, Deputy General Director of KLC Commercial, and Ms. Hedda Sasburg, CEO of ESG Wings BV. The ceremony marked the strategic cooperation between the two parties to boost the export of Vietnamese food and agricultural products to the European market.

With the desire to participate in exporting goods, especially Vietnamese food and agricultural products to the European market, KLC Commercial chose to partner with ESG Wings. This Dutch firm has extensive expertise in advising on improving ESG (Environmental – Social – Governance) capabilities for companies exporting to Europe.

According to Mr. Vu Duc Tuan, Deputy General Director of KLC Commercial, “Signing the cooperation agreement with ESG Wings is a significant step in KLC Commercial’s development strategy. We believe this collaboration will help bring Vietnamese food and agricultural products to the international market, affirming Vietnam’s position and brand in the global export map.”

The cooperation between KLC Commercial and ESG Wings aims to build and develop Vietnam’s food and agricultural supply chain according to transparent, responsible, and sustainable standards. By applying ESG standards, KLC Commercial will enhance its competitiveness and meet the stringent requirements of the European market.

ESG Wings will advise on implementing user-friendly and reputable digital applications, helping KLC Commercial, farmers, cooperatives, distributors, and retailers to practice ESG standards from farm to table. The application of technology will ensure transparency, traceability, and improve supply chain management efficiency.
