Award Ceremony for the 10th Annual Student Scientific Research Competition 

 

On May 31, Dong A University announced and awarded 35 outstanding prizes to student groups participating in the 10th Annual Student Scientific

Research Competition of 2024. Under the theme “NHigh Determination, Great Success,” this year’s competition attracted 365 students with 126

projects across four fields: Engineering Sciences, Health Sciences, Socio-Economics, and Languages

One of the standout projects that garnered a second prize in the university’s research competition was “Spirulina Cultivation and Processing Oat-Spirulina Cookies.” This project was undertaken by students Ngo Nguyen Kim Ngan, Nguyen Thi My Ngan, and To Thanh Huyen from class

FT19A1A, under the guidance of Dr. Phan Thu Thao. These students were given the opportunity to intern at Solargron Company, facilitated by

Mr. William. During their internship, they designed an experiment to cultivate spirulina, aiming to evaluate the effects of LED light and nitrogen

nutrition on the growth of the algae. This research has the potential to contribute significantly to advancements in food production and health

car.

 

 

The results from their research not only helped the students enhance their practical knowledge and skills but also contributed to developing sustainable and innovative solutions in biotechnology. The success of this student group exemplifies creativity and relentless effort, highlighting the crucial role of higher education in promoting scientific research and innovation.
